caramelized corn with fresh mint
sausage stuffing
cranberry sauce spiked with orange zest
gooey mac-n-cheese
buttered green beans tossed with slivered almonds and cranberries
pumpkin cloverleaf rolls
crescent rolls
mashed ‘taters
fiery sweet potatoes
green bean casserole
cinnamon apples
brined and dressed turkey (!!!)
brined and dressed chicken

And the encore:
pumpkin pie
apple pie
pecan pie
fresh whipped cream

Totally impressive! A bunch of those recipes jump at me, particularly the caramelized corn with mint and fiery sweet potatoes. What was the favorite dish? Hey we loved our pumpkin pie – I am a new fan – how was yours? [By the way, I tried a new pie crust recipe this year and it was a total bust – I could have built a house with it.]

haha, you managed to pick out the two dishes i prepared! the fiery sweet potatoes were FANTASTIC in particular; you can find the recipe here (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/11/dining/111srex.html?_r=1&ref=dining) – but i left off the last step of melting more sugar and butter over the top because it didn’t seem to need it.

our pumpkin pie was mega-tasty. the apple was good too but didn’t compare to yours…
